Opening service for Bachfest München

The central festive service takes place every year to commemorate the Reformation and will open the Munich Bachfest.

The sermon at the festive service in St Matthew's will be preached by City Dean Dr Bernhard Liess. The service will be accompanied by music from the Munich Motet Choir and the Munich Residence Orchestra under the direction of Benedikt Haag. The programme includes the cantata for the Reformation Festival "Gott der Herrn ist Sonn und Schild" (BWV 79), in keeping with the Munich Bachfest.
