Staged by Dominik Wilgenbus and freshly brewed, the Hofspielhaus is presenting Johann Sebastian Bach's cantata "Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht", better known as the "Kaffeekantate", with soprano Anna-Magdalena Perwein and baritone Torsten Frisch. First the cantata that gives the programme its name is performed, then coffee and homemade cake are served during the interval, just like in Bach's day, before the second half continues with humorous chansons and songs that also revolve around coffee. The singers will be accompanied by a chamber music trio with piano, violin and cello.
