100 years of the Munich Bach Festival! The festival builds on the city's great Bach tradition, which established itself as an internationally recognised Bach metropolis thanks in particular to the work of Karl Richter. A diverse programme, created by numerous cultural artists from all over Bavaria, will help visitors to experience Johann Sebastian Bach and contemporary works by him in a variety of formats, starting with the Freiburger Barockorchester together with the Windsbacher Knabenchor and a renowned quartet of soloists at the festive opening concert.
