To mark the Bachfest Munich, Gabi Altenbach and Ines Honsel present the story performance "Madame Ziegler's Salon" – a tribute to Christiane Mariane von Ziegler and Anna Magdalena Bach, two women who shaped Johann Sebastian Bach's life.
In intimate Munich living rooms, Altenbach + Honsel, accompanied by Karin Füssel on the accordion, revive the tradition of the literary salons of the 18th century. They combine storytelling, music and interaction and invite the audience to actively participate - just like back then, when dialogue and creativity were paramount.
"Madame Ziegler's Salon" sheds light on the importance of women in history and shows how their stories continue to have an impact today in an evening full of inspiration, music and dialogue.
