MKO Inside

A sound experience with the Munich Chamber Orchestra
Right in the middle instead of in front of it: the audience experiences orchestral music up close.

Concert
Gasteig HP8
Gasteig München GmbH – Gasteig HP8

Sit in the middle of the orchestra on the stage of the Isarphilharmonie: Visitors can take a seat right next to the musicians of the Munich Chamber Orchestra, look over their shoulders and at their fingers, perhaps even read the sheet music. This provides completely new insights into communication within the orchestra and the audience can experience first-hand how the orchestral sound is created.
The MKO and Ulrich Habersetzer offer a listening guide as well as plenty of opportunity for dialogue and encounters.
In accordance with the MKO's programme, music from an earlier century is combined associatively and excitingly with a contemporary work.

Programme: C. P. E. Bach's Symphony in G major and excerpts from Enno Poppe's "Wald"
Conductor: Xandi van Dijk
Moderation: Ulrich Habersetzer, BR Klassik

The concert is part of the event "40 Years Gasteig – The Birthday Surprise" at Gasteig HP8.
