Johann Sebastian Bach's life and work coincided with the transition from the High Baroque to the Rococo period. This was not only a time of great innovation and creative productivity in music, but also in all the liberal and applied arts.

The Baroque era unleashed a unique imagination in form, colour and material, ranging from powerful opulence and playful refinement to the limits of decadence. The future designers at the fashion school take up the aesthetic impulses of this era in their creations. What emerges from this, however, are not mere costume designs: They use the inspirations as a stylistic stimulus for contemporary fashion.

In this way, the young artists build a bridge between past and present, between baroque opulence and modern fashion art. And with their fashion show at Gasteig HP8, they open up an opportunity to encounter Bach in completely new ways.
