What a fantastic idea: children singing music by Johann Sebastian Bach. In today's pop culture, the idea of children singing Bach's "hits" with gusto and esprit is quite something. But it works! Songs from Bach's works are practised and rehearsed, often in a modern version – Bach's music can withstand a lot. The famous "Air" has become the lullaby "Nun zur Ruh", the folk tune "Kraut und Rüben" goes well with a variation of the Goldberg Variations and the Badinerie becomes a swing piece. Added to this is the experience of singing together in a large choir. The Frank Schichter Jazz Ensemble is a reliable partner at the concerts. In addition to the wonderful music of Bach, the singers experience the effect of their own voices, which Friedhilde Trüün, a vocal teacher from Tübingen, inspires to unimagined achievements time and again. It is unmistakable: singing is fun and makes you want more!

Evang.-Luth. Kirchengemeinde St. Johannes
St. Johannes on Preysingplatz is also known as the "God's living room in Haidhausen". The doors of the church are wide open. Everyone is invited to linger, some light a candle and find words for a prayer. St John's is home to the entire spectrum of Christian spirituality. And last but not least, it gives musicians and choirs space to praise God and welcomes everyone.
