The title "Wegbereiter" can be interpreted in two ways in this concert: Jesus was and is a trailblazer for people. Suffering and death, resurrection and ascension as well as the Christian message of peace.
The compositions by J. S. Bach and his contemporaries G. P. Telemann and J. D. Zélenka deal with these themes. These composers can also be seen as trailblazers for musical posterity.
With the baroque orchestra La Banda and capella|werdenfels e.V.
Conductor: Laurent Wehrsdorf
This event is part of the "Bach's sounds at the foot of the Zugspitze" series.

capella|werdenfels e.V.
The chamber choir capella|werdenfels was founded in 2024 by Laurent Wehrsdorf in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and regularly gives concerts in a cappella formations or with baroque orchestras such as La Banda. The aim is to promote historically informed performance practice in the Werdenfels region and to perform rarely performed works.
