The "Weihnachts-Oratorium" tells the story of the birth of Jesus in an epoch-making work with voice and orchestra. "Jauchzet frohlocket" – the angels proclaim the joy of this birth for mankind, and the shepherds who hear the message and see the Saviour praise the child who brings peace to the world in inspiring music.
