The weekend workshop opens up a space for experimentation in which music and drawing come together. Artist Christoph Lammers and musician Corbinian Meier formulate their project as follows: "We translate the impressions and feelings that Johann Sebastian Bach's music makes us feel into drawings and actions. Rhythm meets white paper. Sounds move the pen across the paper. Surface becomes body. What tone does Bach strike in my heart? What images do I find when I translate Bach's music into drawings, form and surface? We explore themes such as rhythm, score, line, surface, tones, longing, hands and place the baroque composer in the present day."

Suitable for anyone with an open mind and an interest in drawing and music - no previous drawing or music-making experience necessary.

Please bring along: Sketchbook, drawing pad DIN A2, pencils 2B, 4B, 8B, natural charcoal in various thicknesses e.g. between 5 and 20 mm, black drawing ink (e.g. Rohrer & Klingner, Winsor & Newton), brushes
