Soprano Jeanne Pascale Schmidt sings selected works from the Bach-Schemelli songbook and Bach's cantatas. The arias and solo harpsichord works accompanied on the harpsichord form a contrast to texts, all of which deal with Bach's life and work as a musician and composer, but also focus on his activities as an organ expert.

There are only a few surviving writings by Bach himself, but all the more about Bach, for example by writers such as Albrecht Goes, Oskar Loerke and fellow musicians such as Johannes Brahms and Paul Hindemith.

Eduard Steinbügl offers samples from the "Ersten Teil der Clavier-Übung" and from the "Wohltemperierten Klavier", as well as some works for organ, which unfold a special charm on the small baroque organ in mean-tone tuning (6 stops, I/pedal).

Pfarrgemeinde Leiden Christi

The parish of Leiden Christi is located on the western outskirts of Munich. The Menzing parish association includes the Romanesque village church of St George, which was the parish church of Obermenzing until 1924. The parish is characterised by a lively and diverse environment, from the toddler group to the senior citizens' café. The Leiden Christi choral community has existed for more than 100 years, and the "Blutenburger Kirchenmusik" series offers large oratorical concerts as well as chamber music in the small side churches of the parish. In addition, the "Chorgemeinschaft Leiden Christi e.V." association supports the interests of church music.
