The exquisite concert programme "Goldberg dreams" for flute, piano and percussion is an exciting exploration of the "Goldberg Variations" by the immortal Johann Sebastian Bach. Based on the anecdote that he wrote this variation cycle as "music to fall asleep to" for the sleepless nights of the Russian envoy Count Hermann Carl von Keyserlingk, Enjott Schneider, Dorothea Hofmann and Stefan Blum composed surreal night and dream moods as free associations.
This resulted in two independent triptychs, in each of which three "dream images" refer specifically to the three respective variations by J.S. Bach. Furthermore, a brilliant conclusion by Stefan Blum on the 30th and last variation by J.S. Bach. The framing Bach originals round off this nocturnal event into a whole.
With Dorothea Hofmann (piano), Carlo M. Barile (piano), Agnes Mayr (flute), Stefan Blum (percussion)
