Counterpoints

A pictorial approach to J. S. Bach
Artists from the HP8 studios explore Bach's work in a playful way in the Aspekte Galerie.
31.10. – 30.11.2025

Exhibition
Gasteig HP8
Gasteig München GmbH – Gasteig HP8

Counterpoint is a musical compositional technique. Several independent, melodically equal voices are combined in such a way that they move excitingly between harmonies and disharmonies.
Visual artists work in a similar way. From this perspective, the artists of the HP8 studios in the Aspekte Galerie approach Bach's compositions and show their diverse explorations in painting, drawing and photography.

Participating artists:
Wolfgang Aichner, Doris Hahlweg, Martina Kändler, Caro Kreusch, Fred Krüger, Christoph Lammers, Saskia Neuhaus, Susanne Pittroff, Sybille Rath, Martin Schneider, Eva Schoeffel

The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on Friday, 31 October from 17:00 to 18:00.
