In the vivid, clear acoustics of the Schloßkirche, the chamber choir of the Hochschule für evangelische Kirchenmusik Bayreuth presents Advent works from the Baroque and Romantic periods under the direction of Prof Steven Heelein. In addition, organ works by Johann Sebastian Bach will be played, which are associated with the Advent season. Prof Lucas Pohle will play the autumn organ as part of the performance of all of Bach's organ works in Lahm.
The Heinrich Gottlieb Herbst organ from 1732 is one of the most valuable historical organs in Bavaria; over 90 per cent of the high-quality original substance is still preserved today. A comprehensive restoration is in preparation, for which donations are being sought on site and via online sponsorships.

Organiser
Evangelical Lutheran parish of Lahm
The parish of Lahm has around 400 members. The idyllic half-timbered village of Lahm is dominated by the tower of the Schloßkirche "Holy trinity", which is widely known for its valuable baroque organ. The organ was built in 1732 by Heinrich Gottlieb Herbst with 29 stops on two manuals and pedal. The Herbst organ is one of the most important monumental organs in Germany. Concerts are organised on a regular basis.
